It is worth visiting the archaeological site and the museum in Dion, the Byzantine castle of Platamonas, the traditional settlement of old Panteleimon, the valley of Tempi and the ski centre of Elatochori.

Daily excursions to Thessaloniki, Vergina, Larissa, Meteora and other important destinations of Macedonia and Thessaly through a very good road network (National Highway, Egnatia Road) with return journey to Litochoro can also take place.
